About

Empire Rewritten

Constantinople is crumbling.

The Ottomans are coming.

And you wake up as Constantine Palaiologos, Despot of the Morea, heir to a dying empire, and the last hope of Byzantium.

A 55-year-old American bookstore owner, is thrown into the most unforgiving century in European history. There are no prophecies to save him. No magic. No system to explain the rules.

Only history and the consequences of every decision.

To survive, he must rebuild an empire the way empires were actually rebuilt: through maps and supply lines, gunpowder and walls, alliances bought with patience, and victories paid for in blood.

What to Expect

  • Isekai without magic or systems — grounded in real history and constraint
  • Serious empire-building in 15th-century Byzantium
  • Military campaigns, court politics, and early gunpowder warfare
  • Historically real locations, people, and strategic logic
  • Multiple POVs, centered on a pragmatic, strategic main character

If you enjoy alternate history, grounded strategy, and kingdom-building where every loss matters, Empire Rewritten is written for you.

Author

I’m Sersor, a graphic designer and part-time writer with a lifelong obsession for alternate history and deep world-building.

History has fascinated me since I was young, especially the eras I grew up surrounded by as a Greek: Byzantium, Rome, and Hellenistic Greece. I love digging into the small details that make a period feel real—politics, culture, warfare, religion, and everyday life. That passion led me into creating alternate-history maps and “what if?” scenarios… and eventually into writing.
